Stewardship and Engagement Specialist

The Stewardship and Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for leading the development and implementation of GTMA’s stewardship, education, and recreation programming as well as for providing additional staff support for our land and wildlife conservation advocacy campaigns. The position also leads GTMA’s broader community engagement efforts on and around the Blackfeet Reservation to cultivate relationships and strong partnerships, as well as build a more inclusive local grassroots conservation movement.  Primary duties include planning and organizing events, coordinating projects with community partners, conservation organizations and land management agencies, recruiting and managing volunteers, and regularly representing GTMA out in the community. The position also routinely assists the rest of the GTMA team with core organizational operations like communications and marketing, including the development of some original content for social media, our blog, or other platforms, as well as occasional fundraising and administrative support duties.The position requires outstanding organizational and communications skills, a strong work ethic, problem solving ability and attention to detail, and the capacity to work both independently and in a small team environment.
