Ordinary, everyday people committed
to conserving the lands, water, and wildlife of the Badger-Two Medicine region.

Mission

The Glacier-Two Medicine Alliance is “Dedicated to the protection, stewardship, and shared enjoyment of the culturally- and ecologically-irreplaceable wild lands of the Badger-Two Medicine and its interconnected ecosystems.”

Vision

“A child of future generations will recognize and can experience the same cultural and ecological richness that we find in the wild lands of the Badger-Two Medicine today.”

Who We Are

Glacier-Two Medicine Alliance is a true grassroots conservation organization based in East Glacier Park, Montana on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. We are led by spirited and committed local citizens who love the land where we live and recreate and want to see it protected for our children to use and enjoy. Our primary focus is promoting the ecological integrity of this region’s wild lands, the conservation of its native fish and wildlife species, and the preservation of the free-flowing character and water quality of local headwater streams. We emphasize the Conservation Sciences to inform natural resource management and policy. We apply the power of citizen engagement to effect change. And we believe in the importance of partnerships. That’s why, as much as possible, we work closely with the Blackfeet Nation and other tribal and conservation allies to advance our shared goals.

Another key cornerstone of our work is inspiring people to learn about, to experience, and to care for our remarkable lands, water, and wildlife. To raise awareness and foster knowledge and appreciation, we regularly lead outdoor trips, offer educational events, and conduct stewardship projects for people of all ages. Oh, and who are we kidding, we also do all this because it’s a fun way to share time and meet interesting people! Please join us anytime!

Where We Work

Our Mission-area spans public, tribal, and private lands in the northern portion of Montana’s Crown of Continent ecosystem, including Glacier National Park and the northern portion of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, with a special emphasis on areas east of the Continental Divide. Our priority landscape is the Badger-Two Medicine area of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest.
